Each morning you’ll be awakened by the smell of brewing coffee as the crew sets the tables for breakfast. Then as you enjoy your meal, your vessel gets underway for the morning’s cruise. On canal cruises, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore your surroundings:it’s easy to step directly from deck to shore as the boat navigates locks All the vessels carry bicycles for use on the towpaths. Sightseeing excursions vary from vessel to vessel and are explained by the captain on your arrival on board, all excursions are included in the cruise price (except for bed and breakfast cruises) and of course you are always free to take sightseeing tours or remain on the barge to relax, as you please. Some of the routes have the option of hot-air ballooning. After the sightseeing over for the day, you’ll return to find your barge moored for the night, there will be time for a cool drink and a change of clothes( if you wish) before a sumptuous dinner brings another delightful, happy day on the waterways of France to an end.
