La Provence on the river Saone

Dijon is a centre for gourmet pursuits, art and architecture, while enchanting Beaune offers the ‘Hotel de Dieu’ a 14th century hospice( poor house) and a wine museum.Chateaux, abbesses, vineyards and canal-side towns are found in abundance, all serving as a tribute to the good life in France . Philipp and Thomas the joint owners of the Provence did a very good job in rebuilding the complete barge , they will be very proud to show the result of their 2 years job. The barge cruises from Dijon to Vandenesse or in reverse direction with as highlights of course Dijon, Château of Commarin with its interesting architectural styles, Chateauneuf, imposing medieval walled château and village, Beaune with a visit to the ’ Hospice’ and wine museum, Clos de Vougeot, 8 centuries of winemaking, the abbey de Fontenay and the tunnel of Pouilly en Auxois . Philipp will prepare the most delicious dished for the evening dinner on board. With a selection of the best wines of the Burgundy .
